While initially wandering his environment in attempt to cure boredom, Cherry Blossom Munny tires and allows himself to take a brief respite from his hunt. The sudden stillness slows every pulse of his heart as he begins to feel the weakness in the muscles keeping his lids tethered open. Not even realizing how much strength it takes just to do something so innate, they inevitably fall closed, though he does not sleep. The zooming thoughts of his racing mind slow as if treading from asphalt through sand to mud. Though they decelerate, they never fail to stop. He does not see, but he watches. He notices his ability to sit with the revolving thoughts as if indulging in a cinematic montage bearing no particular theme. They come in from the emptiness that he calls “Ether”. He is not the creator of them, but merely the Watcher. He is warmly content to see them pass like animals on a carousal, never to repeat. And through eager curiosity, he remains judgment free. None too strange, none too scary, none too sad nor too happy. And through all of this, he remains…at Peace.
